General information

Dress

There is no need to get dressed up for church or for women to wear a hat. If in doubt, wear the sort of thing you might wear for a quiet night at the pub with friends or for going shopping. What you wear is really unimportant. It’s the fact you’ve joined us that matters.

Babies and children

Babies and children are welcome at church. We have a crèche for babies and toddlers and, during term-time, our Young Church (for children up to about 12) meets in the hall. Children are brought into church at the time of Communion for a blessing and remain for a chat with one of the people leading the service after Communion. Both the Crèche and the Young Church are led by approved adults who have undergone PVG Checks with some additional help from Young Adults. Please tell a member of the welcoming team in the Vestibule if you would like your child to go to crèche or Young Church. Alternatively, children can remain in church with you for the whole service using our special children and buggies area.

On days when we have All-age services, children are invited to remain in church.

There are baby changing facilities in the cloakrooms in the hall. Please tell a member of the welcoming team if you need to use these facilities and they will show you where to go.

Accessibility

We welcome people with mobility issues, and those in wheelchairs. We have disabled access facilities and have stair-lifts and disabled toilets. We also have wheelchairs available for those who need them.
