We are delighted to announce that Rev’d Lara Ellen Dose has been appointed Rector of Holy Trinity Church Dunfermline. The date for her installation / institution will be advised in due course.
Meanwhile here is some background detail on our new Rector:
Lara Ellen Dose served as Priest in Charge of St Andrew’s with St Agnes’ and Town Centre Chaplain, Romford in the Diocese of Chelmsford, Essex. Prior to ordination she trained at Westcott House, University of Cambridge and completed an MA in Interfaith Dialogue through Heythrop College, University of London. In 2000, she was appointed the first Director of the National Network for the Arts in Health (NNAH). NNAH was established to provide information and resources to the Arts in Health field, and to promote good practise within government and NGO’s at a local, national and international level.

Lara is enthusiastic about the opportunities this post in Dunfermline offers and very much looks forward to working with the Wardens, Vestry and congregation in developing future growth. Dunfermline stands in the midst of great change on global, national and local levels. Holy Trinity Dunfermline (HTD) will be at the heart of these exciting opportunities and is poised to make enthusiastic contributions through both presence and prayer. She says, “I am not afraid of hard work and am willing to complete whatever task necessary to meet the pastoral and practical needs of the congregation and the community at large. I believe strongly that life is a workbook with lessons learned that prepare us for the next chapter. I see at HTD an opportunity to integrate much of my previous life experience with my priestly vocation.”
