Fiona from the charity BRAVEHOUND will be talking bout how they train and place assistance dogs with Veterans with PTSD, cognitive impairment, or who have other mental health needs as a result of experiences or injury during their military service. Some have additional physical injuries. Owning a well trained dog provides companionship and a structure to the day for veterans who may be feeling isolated, and who find it difficult to adjust to civilian life. Meeting in the church hall at 7pm with refreshments after the talk.
The meditation group meets in the church hall on the first Tuesday of the month and other Tuesdays on zoom from 3pm - 4pm. Message us for more information.
