Thanks from Kenny

On Saturday 3rd November the Very Revd Kenny Rathband was instituted as our new Rector and Priest in charge of St Margaret’s Rosyth by Rt Revd Ian Paton, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane. The church was packed, with clergy from the diocese and further afield, members of both congregations, family and friends from the ABC churches. The service was followed by celebrations across the road in the church hall of our generous Baptist neighbours where Kenny and Ruth were warmly welcomed into West Fife.

A Message from Kenny Dear Friends
Many thanks for the wonderful and warm welcome that has been extended to Ruth and myself. We are both delighted to be here and very much look forward to worshipping with you all and sharing new experiences and friendships in times to come.

Thanks to all who made the Institution service such a joyful and prayerful event.
Grateful thanks also to all who helped get the rectory ready for us and for all the hard work that has been done in recent months.

I’d particularly like to offer my gratitude to the wardens and vestry who helped sustain church life during the vacancy. During any interregnum there is always lots to do and so I am very grateful to all who assisted in any way especially, Ross, Oliver, Christoph and others who led worship during this time.

We are so delighted to be here and very much look forward to a new chapter in our life and ministry with you.

Kenny and Ruth also send their best wishes to all for a ‘Joyful and prayerful Festive season’.
