Holy Week Services

Join us during Holy Week

Dear Friends

First and foremost, I hope that you are safe and wellduring these difficult and worrying times.

Some of you have been able to watch our Sunday services live on Facebook or later when they have been posted on the website or YouTube.

Although I am alone in church, I know that I am united with you in prayer and am very grateful for that.

Inevitably this Holy Week and Easter will be unusual in that we cannot gather as a worshipping community as we would normally do.

If you are ‘on-line’, there are various sources available for devotional reading and worship via our church, diocesan and provincial websites. For those of you who do not have access to ‘on-line’ material I hope that we can keep in touch via letters, cards or phone calls.

On Palm Sunday the Eucharist will be celebrated in both St Margaret’s and Holy Trinity. Palm crosses will be blessed and when we next gather in church as a worshipping community they will be distributed in an act of celebration.

If possible, please try and set aside some time when we would normally be in church so that we can be united in prayer.

During Holy Week we will offer a short service at 7pm each evening, they will be live streamed on YouTube and Facebook, further details are listed below:

Monday: Compline and short reading.

Tuesday: Stations of the Cross with devotional readings

Wednesday: Compline and short reading

Maundy Thursday: Eucharist

Good Friday: Readings from the Way of the Cross

You can find our services online live or at a time to suit you:

I have been trying to keep in contact with members of our congregations and am very grateful to others who are doing likewise. Please let me know of anyone who would appreciate a phone call or chat.

Pew sheets from both churches are regularly sent out electronically. For those not on email every effort is being made to keep in touch via other means.

My grateful thanks to all who are keeping people informed of what is going on and to those offering support in a variety of ways.

Please be assured of my prayers and best wishes for you all.

Kenny
