Friends of Holy Trinity – Sabine

As part of Holy Trinity keeping connected, we are trying something new! Whilst we still connect online via our live services we can miss the chats as over a cuppa, in the pew, entering and leaving church. Alongside our Blether with HTD Facebook group we’d love to get to know you (the congregation) making friends and connections old and new through our new Friends of HTD questionnaire.

Next up we have Sabine Fosyth. Daughter of Dorissia, she was christened, confirmed, a Young Church and YF member at HTD and is now planning her wedding at Holy Trinity.

Below are some things you may know or may find surprising to continue building friendships in our Holy Trinity community, even during lockdown.

Sabine and her fiancé Dawids
  1. Name?  Sabine Forsyth
  2. Where are you from? Dunfermline (currently living in Edinburgh)
  3. What is/was your occupation? I taught philosophy and Religion after graduating from University. However,  in July I left teaching and I am now working as an Education Advisor for the Scottish Courts and Tribunal services.
  4. Explain a little about what faith is to you? Faith is immensely personal to me. But yet I proudly share it with so many friends and people I have not even met throughout the world. My faith is a constant strength and guidance to me.
  5. Favourite pastime/hobby? I love walks along Portobello beach and seeing my friends.  I have recently enjoyed doing some nail art.
  1. What’s your connection to HTD? I have been baptised, confirmed HT. In a sense, I grew up in HT and made friends for life at youth camp. I am also going to be getting married at HT in October 2021!
  2. Tell us about your family? I have my mum, Dorissia, and my big sister, Nadine. I also have three older half siblings from my Dad’s side, making me the youngest of 5! I live with my Fiancé, Dawid and half of the time his son, Leon, stays with us too.
  3. Do you have any pets? Yes, my little toy yorkie, Peter who is 1 year old. He is so tiny and cute.
